Yotam Feldman’s brave debut feature, The Lab, turns an inquiring eye onto the Israeli occupation of Palestine, revealing what a lucrative business it is. Since 9/11, the Israeli arms industry is doing substantially more business than ever before. Now, private Israeli agents are exporting the means used by the military against Gaza and in the West Bank across the globe. Interviewing subjects from philosophers employed by the Israeli Defence Force to the ex-defence minister, the film reveals The Lab, which has transformed the Israeli military occupation from a burden into a marketable, highly profitable asset that the State of Israel cannot afford to lose.
