Join Gilberto Gil on a musical journey across the globe, as he undertakes a new kind of tour across the southern hemisphere. Former Minister of Culture and Brazilian music legend, Gil has spent decades selling out shows around the world. On this trip, though, he visits townships in South Africa and indigenous communities in Australia and Brazil. He unearths stories of racism, inequality, and struggles for identity, and spreads a message of hope and diversity in response. As he travels, he finds time and time again how music can bring people together, and how important the simple joy in artistic creation is in the face of political challenges.
