What Does a Distribution Deal Really Look Like?: Orly Ravid, TFC
Called a “big picture” thinker, Orly Ravid is an entertainment attorney and the founder of the non-profit distributing organisation The Film Collaborative (TFC). Having established theatrical, festival, and digital distribution, and educational services, Orly now works primarily on licensing and negotiation services, with a focus on new media digital distribution. In this talk Orly will address the pros and cons of selling your film to a streaming service versus a traditional distributor, and the different distribution platforms that are available. Orly also will reveal the kind of films most in demand, how prices are evolving, and how filmmakers can both retain their rights and get their films seen.
