Whether you’re a believer or not, you will feel the little hairs rise, tears well up, and a smile break through in Look Into My Eyes. We meet seven very different people from New York who have one thing in common: they’re psychic—or at least they believe themselves to be. Their clients turn to them to connect with deceased loved ones. Over a series of interviews, and with a camera unafraid to get up close and personal, we get to know the seven clairvoyant mediums. It turns out they are ordinary people with an extraordinary talent. Lana Wilson (After Tiller, Antenna 2013) navigates humour, tenderness, and turmoil with a skilful eye for human emotion. The result? An intelligent celebration of human empathy and a moving exploration of the therapeutic effect of being truly seen by another.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with festival guest Hannah Buck
